MA, AMA, FMA, FSA Scot. | GRAEME D.R. CRUICKSHANK MA, AMA, FMA, FSA Scot Graeme Cruickshank was born in Alyth, Perthshire; raised in Glencoe. Senior education at Robert Gordon's Collage, Aberdeen. Graduate of Edinburgh university in Scottish History and Archaeology: several certificate of merit, and undergraduate and postgraduate prizes Curator of Local History with Edinburgh City Museums for fifteen years. Chairman of the museum Professionals Group, Museums Association Councillor, etc, ect Since 1989, Proprietor of Edinburgh Historical Enterprises. Author of half a dozen books and several dozen journals articles, plus reviews, etc Specialist subjects include: novel slants on Edinburgh history, various aspects of the Scottish Pottery industry, the sculptural art of the Picts, and certain important but unnheralded events in Scottish history. Regular lecturer to a wide variety of groups at home and abroad (Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Rangoon, Hong Kong, Maastricht and Leiden in Holand, and Guelf in Canada) Has delivered several 10 Week lecture series for the University's Open Studies programme and City Council's Comminity Education scheme, plus study days. Makes occasional radio broadcasts and television appearances, speaking on variety of historical topics, notably the Battle of Dunnichen.
